History:

Alpha was like most of the dolls in his time, one of few to be imprinted with self defense and the reason the practice was discontinued, until he began to become somewhat self aware. It began when he would sign his artwork with the symbol for alpha. This was ignored by all but Lawrence Dominic, though other indicators would follow.

The major event that allowed the Dollhouse to realize how much of a liability Alpha was becoming was that while on a double mission with Whiskey, Alpha took the client hostage to a place where his original personality had once held a woman captive.

However Alpha remained in the Dollhouse, and was able to develop an obsession with the new doll, Echo. In his desire to see her succeed, Alpha slashed the face of the then number one doll, Whiskey. After this, Alpha was sent to the attic. Though he would never make it there. While being wiped, Alpha attacked and was imprinted with all of his former personalities. During this attack Alpha killed many, including Echo's handler, Dr. Saunders and others, though he spared Echo. Alpha escaped the Dollhouse after this, though employees were told he had been killed.

After that, Alpha was able to focus his attention on Echo. He began to interfere with her engagements. He found out about Paul Ballard's similar obsession and began aiding him, in the investigation. During some of his tinkering, alpha became the first to perform a remote wipe.

Later, Alpha managed to slip a virus into the Dollhouse. At the same time, Paul tracked down "Steven Kepler" an architect who made the Dollhouse practically self sufficient. In reality Alpha had killed Kepler, and once in the Dollhouse attacked Victor's face, in the same way he had Whiskey's. During this same rampage, Alpha convinced "Saunders" to bring Echo to him, and he then imprinted her with the same criminal imprint that Whiskey had had on a double mission with him. Taking all of her imprints, including Caroline, he took Echo back to his lair.

Personality:

Well, mostly Alpha is crazy. All kinds of crazy. Several of his imprints build on this, as at least on suffers from multiple personality disorder and two from schizophrenia..Thanks to the many people buzzing around in his head, he tends to be quite conflicted, but talented. Still, they have untied with a pretty common goal. Though his mind gets away from him, Alpha does remain in control of himself more often than not. However he is very psychotic. He has no real emotional connection to people. He knows what he likes and what he doesn't like, the problem is though he likes the wrong things. Like killing people.

Alpha has become somewhat superhuman because of all the imprints buzzing around in his head. First there is his intelligence level. He was a smart guy to begin with, but he has now been given the ability to mastermind several extraordinary plots. He is brilliant with strategy and loves to make his doings elaborate, if for no other reason than because he can. This intelligence also allows him to tinker with much of the Dollhouses own technology. Part of his strategies and plans often involve a good deal of patience. Alpha can wait forever if he has to to see something get pulled off perfectly.

Yet these imprints aren't always his friends. Many of them have problems of their own that only contribute and add to all the crazy already in his head. While he has a personality that is defined, and for the most part in control, the parts of him that aren't so cohesive get to him. Still, he likes having much of it in his head, and isn't to opposed to adding more. Each imprint adds new quirks and advantages, which he enjoys, almost a little too much. If not himself, Others. Alpha isn't a fan of the Dollhouse, but has no problem with toying with peoples heads in the same way.

In addition to his, fighting had been programmed into Alpha from the beginning. He had been given the self defense skills as a doll, but some of his personalities only heightened this. While he doesn't go for the fight initially, he can handle himself better than most. Alpha isn't the type for a straight out brawl, but doesn't mind cutting people up. His surgical precision and speed have become something of a trademark of his. Maximum pain and damage, but within a matter of seconds. Cold and methodological, just like himself. To him it's like art, he enjoys it and has
been known to sign his work.

Alpha is completely driven by two things, though the two are very intermixed. The first is causing trouble for the Dollhouse and the second is Echo. His obsession with Echo fuels his obsession with the Dollhouse, and Alpha isn't quite sure himself on what he wants to do with Echo. He likes her, but has often done things with little regard to her life and safety.
